Mother Coyote is a machine that combines the features of a hybrid and a pen: long stroke, sharp and decisive.
The idea behind it was simple: bring the punch of a coil into a cartridge system. Cartridges are practical, but they sacrifice that solid hit that only traditional needles can deliver.
This model is different from the others I build: I didn’t design it for everyone, nor for beginners. I don’t like doing marketing with flashy slogans: I prefer to be clear and make sure my machines end up in the right hands. It can be adjusted, sure—but if you can’t recognize the correct voltage by ear, better leave it aside.
It’s built entirely from aluminum, supports medium to large needle groupings, and introduces the new grip LOCK / UNLOCK system: just a slight rotation to the right to release, or to the left to lock—effortlessly.
Weight: 165 g.
The mechanics are designed to reduce the harshness typically felt with cartridges, offering a sensation close to a coil while performing best with long strokes. It can also run at low voltages while still delivering a sharp hit.
The impact comes through a galvanized piston that absorbs the blow, preventing the splatter typical of stronger punches. The heavy, calibrated drive bar lowers the cartridge tension and slides within a self-lubricating bushing: just a drop of lube on the piston that strikes the bar is enough from time to time.
This is not a machine for everyone: it’s for those who want a hammer when needed, something unique in their collection, and who know how to master it. A machine that, in the right hands, can give immense satisfaction.
